Before the Kautz family even broke ground at the winery, they envisioned the creation of an approachable, artistically and culturally rich environment that would enable them to “give back” to the community through the preservation of history and the enjoyment of the arts.
Completed in 1998, the Ironstone Amphitheatre is the most recent addition to the winery and the realization of that dream. The five-tier, horseshoe-shaped outdoor amphitheatre has become a favorite amongst locals and travelers who come to enjoy a variety of events.
Each summer a new playbill of world-class artists perform for the Ironstone Summer Concert Series. They've told us it's one of the most unique and beautiful settings in the world for hosting outdoor concerts.
The Amphitheatre is also home to our annual Concours d'Elegance car and club show, held every September, as well as several other events throughout the year.
The Lakeside Park is a graceful, flower-filled, manicured garden on the cattail-lined shores of Ironstone's natural lake. A picturesque setting, complete with natural stone pathways and shaded outdoor tables and benches, is the perfect locale for a picnic lunch prepared by our Gourmet Deli.
The park is one of the most versatile and utilized areas of the winery and hosts a myriad of public and private events throughout the year -- from weddings, to garden parties to evening dances under the stars.
Arbor / Bridge
Located near the Breezeway, the fragrant and lovely white and purple Japanese wisteria-covered arbor is 400 feet long. In its midst, surrounded by beautiful flowers and rocks, you’ll find an old-fashioned covered wood bridge with a stream running underneath.
Along the arbor’s length is a large herb garden where the Ironstone chefs often collect fresh herbs and spices for use in the kitchen.
The arbor is a lovely place for a stroll, and on special occasions, chairs and tables are arranged throughout the arbor where guests can enjoy our award-winning wines and fabulous lunches from our Gourmet Deli.
