The 2009 Grape Harvest has begun. Trucks are rolling in with grapes from our vineyards in the Lodi Appellation and soon the grapes from the Murphys Vineyards will be hand harvested. 

See below for details on our Clam Bake Harvest in the vineyard to experience tasting raw juice and freshly picked wine grapes.

A generously rich red wine which has a distinct dark berry and spicy aroma with flavors of lush berry, vanilla and a hint of dark chocolate. Medium bodied with a smoky quality, this wine lingers in your mouth, dancing on your taste buds.

Grape Harvest Clambake in the Vineyards,  Fri., Sept 11

To celebrate grape harvest, Ironstone is hosting a clambake in the vineyards, Friday, Sept. 11, 2009.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Ironstone Vineyards’ Chef James will prepare in an open fire pit, a feast of clams, vegetables, bread and more to be served rustically in the Chardonnay Vineyard.

Fresh crushed juice will be available to taste as well as a variety of newly picked wine grapes, in order to experience the stages of the wine during early harvest. 

Live Music. 

The price is $45 per person, $40 per wine club member and $25 for kids, which includes the meal as well as wine paired with the meal. Reservations are required: 209-728-1251.

Concours d'Elegance Saturday, Sept. 26

The Ironstone Foundation's annual classic car show, featuring some of the world's best classic automobiles, travel trailers and motorcycles.

A fundraiser for a number of children's organizations.

Starting at 10 a.m .to 4 p.m.  Entrance prices are $20 per person, $35 for families and children 14 and under are free.
